In the midst of growing concerns around the state of rural healthcare, let’s not lose sight of innovative models and best practices, here in South Africa and across the BRICS group of countries. This is according to Dr Unati Nemuhuyuni, head of Public Private Partnerships at Metropolitan Health.

Hailed by the World Bank and the United Nations as one of the best health insurance schemes around the globe, India‘s Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) is a PPP that seems to be making a difference in the lives of the rural poor.
