the National Cyber Security Policy 2013 (NCSP) which ‘serves as an umbrella framework for defining and guiding the actions related to [cyberspace] security’.

I don’t understand this need for India to “devlop global standards” how about just adhearing to already global standards for these things?

Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Kapil Sibal, said: “[We] have to develop global standards because there is no way that we can have a policy within the context of India which is not connected with the rest of the world because information knows no territorial boundaries”.
